A Wildfire Protection System Designed for Ember Protection
The Platypus Sprinkler can be installed during construction of new homes and buildings to ensure the pipework can be concealed. Otherwise, in the case of existing dwellings or buildings, the Platypus Sprinkler is easily retrofitted with exposed pipework.
The Platypus Sprinkler has a twin outlet head that spins on a central shaft.
The design of the head ensures water droplets spray out and down from the sprinkler head, this way water is sprayed in a complete circular pattern.
A unique feature of the Platypus Sprinkler is that it doesn’t have an outer support frame around the spinner. By not having this support frame, it guarantees that the water stream is not broken; therefore leading to a concentration of large droplets being dispersed with less wind effect on it. This allows more of your water to stay on the building. Other sprinklers that have an outer support frame inevitably produce smaller droplets leading to mist—making, which overall makes them less effective.
